RNL online learning modules are delivered in partnership with VRC face-to-face training packages. Learning content supports the European Disability Employment Practitioner Certificate (EPC) assessment guidance.

The EPC can be awarded from late spring 2012 in a number of European countries. See Travors2 for up to date information about the country you work in.
 
The EPC Units are:

  3. Enabling clients to obtain work
  4. Supporting clients in work
  5. Supporting employers to employ disabled people
  6. Case management
 
RNL and VRC can provide online learning, face-to-face training, in-work mentoring and assessment for the EPC.

  • Online modules, face-to-face training and in-work mentoring are focused on skill development for employment practitioners. Course design complies with UK Department of Work and Pensions training design guidance.
  • Employment practitioners can be assessed against the EPC assessment guidance without undertaking further training, if they demonstrate the relevant skill base.

EPC history
 
The first training course was designed as an RNL induction programme for our own case workers. This course was further developed and transferred to Europe. The project partners wanted to help train employment practitioners working with people with disabilities to gain or maintain work.
 
The EPC content, Design Guidance and qualification have been trialled in three Leonardo Transfer of Innovation projects (Travors, DESEPA and Travors2). European Universities, training organisations, rehabilitation service providers, private companies and government departments were involved from Austria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey and UK.
